Garth Newel Music Center offers a number of educational programs throughout the year.

Summer Fellowship Student Chamber Music Program

Each summer, a group of talented young musicians from top music schools & conservatories, ages 18-26, compete to spend 4 weeks at Garth Newel Music Center studying chamber music and performing throughout the local area, culminating in a final performance in Herter Hall.

Allegheny Mountain String Project

Garth Newel Music Center sponsors a project to reach the communities of Bath, Alleghany & Highland Counties with the opportunity to learn a string instrument.

Adult Amateur Chamber Music Retreat

What could be more enjoyable! Spend a weekend at Garth Newel playing chamber music with friends. Receive daily coachings, and enjoy the fun and fellowship of kindred musical souls!  Dates to be announced soon for March 2011.

Each year resident musicians from Garth Newel Music Center work with local school teachers to create age-specific, interactive programs for school performances.
